Privacy Policy

The privacy story of this site is short because the architecture makes it short: the puppy weight calculator runs entirely in your browser, saved estimates never leave your device, and there is no puppy database on our side to protect, sell, or leak. This page documents the few data flows that do exist, in plain language.
What we collect — and what we never do
Most privacy policies bury the answer in eleven sections. Here it is as a two-column picture first; the sections below unpack the details.
Never collected, never stored

- ✗Your name or your puppy's name
- ✗Email addresses (unless you email us first)
- ✗Calculator inputs — age, weight, breed, parent weights, body-condition score
- ✗Saved estimates — they live in your browser's local storage only
- ✗Location data beyond the coarse, anonymized analytics defaults
The complete list of what we do
- ✓Anonymous page-view and tool-interaction events. Counts like “a result was calculated” via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization. No personal data, no calculator values.
- ✓Coarse device context. Browser family, screen class, and referrer — the aggregates any web server sees, used only to keep the layout working on real devices.
- ✓Email correspondence you initiate. If you write through the contact page, your email and its contents are handled like any correspondence: read, replied to, kept no longer than useful.
Where do my calculator inputs and saved estimates actually live?
On your device, in your browser. Numbers you type — age, weight, breed, parent weights, body condition — are processed locally and are not transmitted to us. When you press Save, the estimate is written to your browser's localStorage under the key puppy_saved. That is how the tool remembers your history without a server. Clear it any time via the Reset button, your browser's "clear site data" control, or developer tools. We cannot recover it, and we never see it.
What about the Copy link / share feature?
Sharing encodes your chosen inputs into the URL itself — the link contains the same numbers you see in the address bar, and nothing is stored on our side. Paste it into a chat, a buyer's message, or your notes; it keeps working, and it keeps being your choice what goes into it.
Which analytics run, and what do they see?
Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization, counting page views and tool interactions (for example, that an estimate was calculated). These events contain no personal data and no calculator values. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Do you use cookies or advertising?
The site itself sets no functional cookies. If advertising is displayed, Google AdSense may set cookies to personalize or measure ads; you can review and control ad personalization in Google Ad Settings. Third-party ad vendors operate under their own privacy policies. Advertising never influences breed data or calculator behavior — see the disclaimer.
How long is anything kept?

Children's privacy
The site is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because there are no accounts and no uploads, there is no child-profile data to begin with.
Your rights

Clear the saved estimate from your device any time — we hold no copy to delete.

Adjust or disable ad personalization through Google Ad Settings where advertising is shown.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves; the effective date above will change with any material revision. Given the architecture, the realistic worst case is an analytics change — the calculator will remain a browser-local tool with nothing to hand over.
